Photographing Naäs Jewelry: Shine With No Harm

This women-founded, Mexico City-born brand creates avant-garde, form-forward pieces crafted from recycled gold and lab-grown diamonds. Their designs aren’t just beautiful - they’re intentional, ergonomic, and deeply respectful of both people and planet.

Captured on my LEICA cameras

Over the years, I’ve had the joy of capturing several of their collections. Naäs designs reward close study: every curve, every reflection, every micro-texture deserves exacting attention.

My process always begins the same way: Expose for the metal, not the moment.
This ensures every highlight remains controlled, every shadow retains detail, and the form stays true to the maker’s intent. Naäs pieces feel like second skin - fluid, architectural, alive with light and movement. This is what I saw through the lens, and what I hope viewers experience when looking at the images.
